After winning the Asia/Pacific catagory the boys were moved up to the ‘Worldwide Act’ category, going against other Worldwide Acts:
Lena, Britney Spears, Abdelfattah Grini, and Restart.
When accepting the award TaeYang spoke in english, While GD spoke in Korean. BIGBANG really wanted to thank their fans for all their continuous support! Sadly, BIGBANG did not perform, at least they won their award, hopefully the Hallyu Wave will now continue to grow!
Not only did BIGBANG win, They were also top in mentioned tweets, above popular western acts including Lady GaGa and Justin Bieber.
