It has recently been announced that both PSY and Super Junior have been nominated at this year’s MTV EMA Awards!
Last year, K-Pop group BIGBANG managed to win the award for “Best Worldwide Act”, even beating American pop queen Britney Spears in the process. Since then it seems that K-pop has continued to make its mark on an international scale.
PSY has been nominated in the “Best Video” for his viral hit “Gangnam Style” (as you may have already guessed!) He will be going up against the likes of Lady Gaga and Katy Perry for the award.
Super Junior have been nominated in the “Best Asian Act” category going against the former Super Junior member Hangeng – who is representing China among many others.
Whoever wins the first round of voting here will go on to represent Asia in the “Best Worldwide Act” as BIGBANG did last year.
