It has been revealed that I AM., the film about SM Entertainment’s 2010 SMTOWN Live concert in New York’s Madison Square Gardens, will be shown for the first time in the UK on the 7th of November as part of the 2012 London Korean Film Festival. The film follows 32 of the company’s artists, some of K-pop biggest stars, including BoA, Kangta, TVXQ, members of Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee and f(x), as they prepare to perform at one of the biggest events of their career in one of America’s most famous concert venues. It is a documentary-style film which shows the artists working behind the scenes as they prepare for the concert as well as actual concert footage and exclusive archive footage.

Growing from the success of last year’s appearance by SHINee, the organisers of this years London Korean Film Festival have added an entire section of the festival dedicated to K-pop related films. This includes comedy-drama Mr Idol featuring Jay Park,  comedy Papa and Acoustic, a drama starring 2AM’s Seulong and CNBLUE’s Jonghyun and Minhyuk along with I AM.

The festival will run from the 1st to the 16th November and will then go on tour to Bournemouth, Glasgow and Bristol (dates and films for these have yet to be announced). It is unknown yet whether another K-pop act will perform at this year’s festival.
