Now 83 is part of the long running ‘Now That’s What I Call Music’ compilation CD series, bringing together the best hits from the charts onto a two disk album – with the songs from the first CD arguably being the better songs. The Now CD series started in 1983 and has even branched out into other countries such as South Africa and the USA.Set for release today, the Now 83 tracklist has revealed that Gangnam Style will be on it. But not only is Gangnam Style on the album, it is the first track of the first CD, a spot reserved for the best of songs!

This is another huge achievement for PSY, but also for K-pop. Although many would argue that PSY is giving the West misconceptions about Korean music, because of his success, mentioning Korean music is no longer met with quite with strange looks it once was. Gangnam Style has opened people’s eyes and minds a little, to the fact that great music does not only come from the West.

The CD will be available for purchase from most music stores and large super market chains, such as Tesco and Asda. It’s priced at around £12.

Will you be showing your support to PSY by purchasing the album? This will be the first K-pop song widely available for purchase on CD.
