Glastonbury Festival, a five day music festival at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset – it is hard to argue Glasto’s status as one of the UK’s best music festivals as as always tickets for the upcoming dates have sold out well in advance.

2014’s Glastonbury takes place towards the end of next month, from Wednesday Jun 25th to Sunday 29th, and boasts Pyramid Stage headliners such as: Arcade Fire; Metallica; Kasabian; Elbow; Jack White; Ed Sheeran; Rudimental; and even Dolly Parton.

It isn’t Dolly that is the hot topic here at UnitedKpop however. This year the Silver Hayes areal will play host to an amazing line up of over 200 global artists, and four of them have roots in South Korea.

Jambinai blend hard rock and traditional Korean music, and are one of the most unique Korean indie groups around. All majors in traditional Korean music Jambinai combines both what they know and love. The group are set to hit the Gully Outer-National Stage in the Silver Hayes Area on Friday 27th.

TOKiMONSTA, real name Jennifer Lee, is from Los Angeles but is of Korean descent. TOKiMONSTA showed off her skills as a DJ, producer and recording artist recently on MNET America’s Alpha Girls, and is set to hit the La Pussy Parlure Noveau Stage in the Silver Hayes Area on Saturday 28th.

Gonne Choi is an acoustic solo artist, combining guitar and mellow vocals. Her songs use both English and Korean, and document her life and travels, being recorded all over the world. Gonne Choi will play the Gully Outer-National Stage in the Silver Hayes Area on both Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th.

Sultan of the Disco are as light-hearted as they look. With their roots in satirising idol culture this group knows not to take themselves too seriously, hence why you should take their self-written bios with a pinch of salt. Their music is a catchy mix of soul, funk and disco, and though you might see them throw in some dance moves, polished idol choreography and lip-syncing this is not. Sultan of the Disco will play the Rabbit Hole Stage in The Park Area on Saturday 28th, and the La Pussy Parlure Noveau Stage in the Silver Hayes Area on Sunday 29th.

Those of you that aren’t heading to Glasto and are interested in hearing Gonne Choi should be able to as both Radio 1 and 1Xtra will be broadcasting live from the Gully Outer-National Stage on Saturday 28th until 3.am.
