Amy Winehouse‘s name has come up once again in the Kpop world, through Korean Herald’s recent interview with Korean singer, Dean.

Amy Winehouse was an R&B/Jazz singer from London, mostly known for her songs “Rehab” and “Back to Black” which had topped charts and won her multiple awards. Her lyrical skills and emotions put into her performance set her apart from other acts and her popularity rapidly increased internationally.

After being asked about the genre of music he wants to make, the Korean producer/singer instead described the feelings he wishes to induce in people who listen to his songs, and he explains this through his admiration of Amy Winehouse. Dean describes the late British singer’s music as “the perfect combination of words, music and the person”, as he fondly remembers the stories told through her lyrics.
