On May 1st Ace Hotel in Shoreditch, London, played host to Korean rapper and producer Giriboy. The show was hosted by Cult Of Ya, the company behind recent shows by DOK2 and The Quiett, and Okasian and B-Free.

Those with Meet & Greet tickets were able to take photographs with the rapper as they entered the sold out venue, with standard ticket holders filling up the space in Ace Hotel’s basement soon after.

Giriboy took to the stage a little before 11pm to deliver a loud and fast-paced half hour set.

Performing fan favourites such as Sucker, and Because You’re Pretty, Giriboy had the devoted crowd in the palm of his hand. Fans sang and rapped along to the set, creating an impressive buzz in the small, intimate show location.

Despite having flown ten hours for the show, and only landing hours before taking to the stage, Giriboy easily held a captive audience with his performance. Though, one might assume that a show that avoids such a situation would see Giriboy deliver a set with even more bang – but sometimes such circumstances cannot be avoided.
