Dazed Digital’s resident K-pop afficionado Taylor Glasby is back again, and this time with their Top 20 K-pop tracks of the year.

It has been an eventful year for the K-Pop world. The sudden disbandment of major groups such as 2NE1, 4Minute, KARA and I.O.I has hit fans around the world hard. At the same time, groups like BTS and GOT7 managed to make it to the Billboard’s year-end World Album Chart, and BIGBANG just recently released their complete ‘MADE’ album before T.O.P’s enlistment in the military.

In the light of these events, Dazed, the british music, fashion & art magazine, has recently published a list with the 20 best K-Pop songs of 2016. The comprehensive list contains songs from both major groups such as BTS, Block B and Infinite, but also newer groups like Twice and Blackpink. It also include a compact, yet insightful review of each track as well as information about the groups featured on the list.

Some of the chosen songs may seem like obvious choices, such as TWICE’s catchy song ‘Cheer Up’, WINNER’s ‘Baby Baby’ or Red Velvet’s ‘Russian Roulette’, to name only a few, while others are quite surprising. BIGBANG’s new song ‘FXXK IT’ made it to the list despite having been released only a couple of days ago.
