If you’re in Korea next week and head to Ulsan, you’ll have a whale of a time – pardon the pun, but this is one of Korea’s cutest themed festivals.

Ulsan Whale Festival is held every year to bring attention to the ocean giants and their long history with Korean people. Jangsaengpo Whale Life Experience Museum is a permanent fixture here, but this cute three-day festival gives the perfect opportunity to learn even more about whales and join a special Whale Watching Cruise. Special festival events include a water playground, a music festival, Jangsaengpo Beer Festival, fireworks, a street parade, an art street, a stamp tour and a photo contest.

Ulsan Whale Festival runs from 5 to 8 July. Check out the official page here or the Korean Tourist site for more info on how to get there from Seoul.
