Another week has came and gone and surprisingly, we are almost nearing the end of the year. However, that has not stopped artists from churning out a long line of K-Pop bangers. It’s easy to get a little lost in the November comeback rush so we have compiled it down to seven tracks released this week to get you playlist ready!
K/DA – “POP/STARS”
As part of the World Cup Final, League of Legends dropped the hot debut of K/DA; consisting of Ahri, Akali, Evelynn & Kai’sa. The fierce virtual idols strutted their stuff on stage, pierced our hearts and lured us in with the track, “POP/STARS”. However, you may notice that rapper Akali and foxy vocalist, Ahri sound familiar. That is because their voices belong to (G)I-DLE member, Jeon Soyeon & Miyeon who collaborated alongside Madison Beer & Jaira Burns to form the live representation of the group during the League Finals.
B.A.P’s Jongup – “Annoyed”
BABYZ are in for a treat this week as B.A.P’s Jongup has unveiled a music video for his track, “Annoyed” featuring his fellow member, Zelo and SONAMOO’s rapper, New Sun. More tracks from B.A.P are still to come as part of their special “Recollection”; a project consisting of solo songs previously showcased in concert.
TWICE – “Yes or Yes”
Top girl group, TWICE is back with a hypnotising comeback in “Yes or Yes”. The group has worked with composers of their past songs to create a fun confession track which asks their love to say yes immediately. Their magic seems to be working as they have already hit over ten million hits; the fastest girl group to hit that mark on Youtube and beating BLACKPINK’s previous record by seven minutes!
Gugudan – “Not That Type”
Gugudan have kicked off their cute storybook image and joins the Girl Crush side with their comeback; “Not That Type”. It is the first release with the group now acting as eight members but they strut onto the scene and steal the show with fierce vocals and pristine choreography.
KEY – “Forever Yours”
KEY is the third SHINee member to make his solo debut and has teamed up with past SISTAR member, Soyou for his pre-release, “Forever Yours”. In true SHINee fashion, it is a fresh Tropical sound, perfect for the Summer and to party away the current Winter. This week, UKP HQ peeked into the fun music video for the track and if this is only the pre-release, we cannot wait for the full album.
BTS – “Airplane pt.2” (Japanese Version)
BTS may have hit a little slump in Japan after the shirt controversy but that has not stopped the immense support of their new Japanese remix of the hit B-Side, “Airplane pt.2”. Originally part of their “Love Yourself: Tear” album, the group have mixed it up and has already racked up 13 million views from loyal ARMY who continue to love and defend the group.
MONSTA X – “SHOOT OUT” (English Version)
We could not do this week’s Release Round Up without talking about the track currently hitting charts by storm. Monsta X have suddenly released an English rendition of their comeback, “Shoot Out” and confirming that they will be performing the track live for the first time at iHeart Radio’s annual Jingle Ball. Since its release, it has shot down the competition and reached top ranks in European countries; including #1 in Italy, #2 in Norway, Turkey & Germany and #3 in England. Congratulations, boys!
