The ladies took the world by storm during the last few days with the teasers leading up to BLACKPINK’s long awaited first mini album ‘Square Up‘ which was released today on June 15. The girl group grabbed over 8.2 millions alone for the teaser video for the 19 second long title track ‘Ddu Du Ddu Du‘, which only shows a preview of how many views the official M/V will snatch within the first day.

It’s been nearly a year since the girls’ last comeback with their single ‘As If It’s Your Last’, which went on to peak at #30 on the UK iTunes song chart. This time round, the starved BLINKs have returned with a vengeance, with UK fans helping to raise the girls to #11 after an hour of the album’s release.
Currently, they’ve charted in 36 countries, have 12 #1‘s and within a span of 2 hours. (UPDATE: Number raised to 39). It’s looking promising that they will only continue to rise up the ranks and with their latest comeback, it’s doesn’t look like they came here to play around. [UPDATE] The official peak charting is #2, which is the highest rank for a K-Pop female group in the UK which is an impressive feat to see from the BLACKPINK girls!
[PREVIOUS UPDATE] BLACKPINK have now flown up to the Top 10 in the UK to #8 and now it’s official peak at #6 which is also the highest charting rank for a K-Pop girl group.
