It’s been announced that three rising Korean artists have been invited to Venice for an upcoming international exhibition. Kim Ayoung, Nam Hwa-yeon, and Im Heung Soon are amongst 136 others from all over the world selected to present their art to a global audience.
Kim uses video and sound to explore history, her work has already been showcased in many countries including England and Germany. Nam, who is based in both Berlin and Seoul, has previously won awards for her art including the Hermes Foundation Missulsang award back in 2009. Lastly, Im is a film maker who has also won a few awards for his work, including the Best Rough Cut award at Incheon Documentary Report in 2014.
The exhibition is titled “All the World’s Future” and will take place within the Venice Biennale venue. Korea has a permanent exhibition space within the venue so it’ll run from May 9th until November 22nd.
