Welcome to Week Three of our weekly K-pop Chart, bringing you the Top 40 songs in the UK.
There has been a lot of movement in the charts this week, showing that maybe more British fans are starting to purchase music legally in the past two weeks. In a surprising move, BEAST climbed five places with SHADOW this week, reclaiming the #1 spot from MBLAQ‘s No Love which fell 9 places to #10 from its top position in the chart last week.
In the most dramatic of moves, No No No by Apink moved up almost the entire chart from #40 to #2 to clock up their first Top 10 in our chart. Meanwhile ZE:A come off their victory on KBS “Immortal Songs II” to continue to make gains in the UK with a rise in one position to #3 with The Ghost of Wind.
Showing the UK’s love affair with anything related to Hyuna, or maybe “that girl from Gangnam Style”, Bubble Pop comes from out of the blue at #6 and 4Minute‘s What’s Your Name? rises 33 positions to #4. Even Hyuna’s co-ed project Trouble Maker still clings to the chart, dropping down to #7.
Blackjacks finally representing in the UK! 2NE1 climbs 18 positions to #5 with their latest offering in Do You Love Me? to bring the talented foursome up to their first Top 5 position in our chart.
The hilarious and thus far under-appreciated Crayon Pop finally make an appearance on our chart at #8 with BBA BBA BBA. The five girls in helmets were recently featured on UK television and online which has resulted in increased media exposure and perhaps encouraged curious people to purchase the track… only to find themselves jumping (yeah) jumping (yeah… everybody!)
Fan-favourite Henry had another successful week with his crew and an even better week on the UKP chart, climbing 17 places to hit #11, followed hotly in pursuit by Infinite‘s Destiny, also climbing 17 places to #12.
17 seems to be a common number here, since f(x) climbs that many with Rum Pum Pum Pum to #14 and B.A.P. take their Badman to #17.
Unfortunately, previous week’s #3 falls 13 places as Bigstar‘s stellar first entry into the chart with Run & Run just runs out of steam to settle for #16.
Brown Eyed Girls‘ Kill Bill and Ailee‘s U&I make strong gains at #15 and #20 respectively. Make sure you catch our article on getting the look for our #21 artists BTS with their song We Are Bulletproof Part 2, who also chart at #31 with No More Dream.
Legend of the music industry, Lee Seungchul makes his entry into our chart with My Love at #23 while 2NE1 bag another single in the Top 40 at #24 with Falling in Love after only missing out on the chart at #41 last week.
Some noteable re-entrants to the chart are BTOB with Wow, VIXX with Hyde who also chart with G.R.8.U., and AOA peeking their heads above the parapet with Moya. The lower half of the chart shows a fair amount of f(x) from their new album Pink Tape, while Girls’ Generation‘s Japanese tracks somehow still make the K-Pop charts (thanks to their agency’s labeling of it as K-Pop) at #38 in the form of Paparazzi, while an actual Korean track Mr. Taxi just makes the mark at #40.
XIA Junsu‘s solo effort in Incredible goes somewhat underappreciated by fans at #32 while the underdogs Tasty come in at #39 on our chart with MAMAMA.
So without further ado, the UKP K-pop Top 40 songs…

The chart is based on real numbers and solid facts, using a simple combination of complex formulae to find out the best of the best in the UK for K-Pop. Similar to the Korean charts, the UK K-Pop Chart uses sales numbers, votes from the fans and broadcast exposure, to calculate automatically without bias, the Top 40 K-Pop singles and albums in the UK.
If you’re curious about how the chart works there are some interesting facts over on our UKP Chart page, here you can find out how the chart is compiled and, if you’ve got your thinking cap on, there’s even some maths in there!
This weeks chart does not include votes, however we are working towards bringing this feature to the site as soon as we can so that you can have even more influence on the chart right here!
