There’s never been a better time to become a Best Friend, as Boyfriend continue to promote their new third mini-album Witch. They’ll also be performing their first solo concert, Bewitch, in Seoul later this month.

Boyfriend are Donghyun, Hyunseong, Jeongmin, Youngmin, Kwangmin, and Minwoo (maknae). Youngmin and Kwangmin are twins, the first to debut in a K-pop band together, and were child stars appearing in over 300 adverts way before their K-pop debut.

The boys are signed to Starship Entertainment, and debuted in May 2011 with the single Boyfriend. Their first MV shows a squeaky clean-cut set of boys that was thankfully ditched for their subsequent MVs, as this sextuplet is at its best when allowed to expose smouldering looks and sharp choreo. They’ve released two studio albums, Janus and I Yah, and three mini-albums, Love Style, Obsession and Witch. The latter was released in October and is still enjoying airplay as the MV for White Out was released earlier this week. The title track has also made it onto the soundtrack of an American horror flick released this month, called Wolves.

If you want to get to know the guys better, in 2013 they played fathers to some mini-superstars in the KBS show Hello Baby. It’s worth checking out if only to see the episode where they held a free hug event in Myeongdong. (Free hugs!  Some fangirls get all the luck.) Since 2012, Boyfriend have held fan meetings and performed in China, Japan, Singapore, Puerto Rico and the U.S. so here’s hoping they’ll be heading to Europe in the future.
