Another week is coming to an end, so it’s time to catch up on the most recent releases of the week…!
Rather than songs, this week’s releases featured a lot of new albums from artists such as Teen Top, The Legend, various drama OST’s, Cross Gene and many more. Between all songs, however, there was certainly one that stood out: Lee Seung Gi’s ‘I’m Going to the Military’. Last Thursday, Lee Seung Gi’s agency Hook Entertainment announced that he will be enlisting in the army on February 1st. On the same day, he released the song as an emotional farewell to all the fans he can’t greet in person. According to eNews, he said, “Because I couldn′t say goodbye to everyone in person, I expressed my sorry heart in the song”. Although it symbolises a temporary farewell to his fans, he hopes that the song will also reach other members of the Korean Armed Forces, whom he hopes can relate to the song as well.
