Hot Bars, or rolled fish cakes, are a street food staple in Seoul. They’re also known as 어묵바, eomukbar and are served year-round on the street.

To make them, white fish is ground into paste, and then various ingredients like perilla leaves or carrots are mixed in. The mixture is deep fried and served on a chopstick. Cod is the most common fish used in Korea for these tasty and cheap treats. Expect to pay 1000KRW and under for one.
