What do Zayn Malik, Ansel Elgort and Dean all have in common? If you read the title of this article, you’ve probably figured out that it’s the fact that they’re all on Vogue UK’s The 50 Fittest Boys of 2017 list. Vogue report on Dean’s domination of the world R&B stage, paying particular attention to his two sold-out London shows – you can read our reviews of his performance at Camden’s KOKO here.
The twenty-four year-old was flattered to be included in the list, as he posted a thank you message onto his Instagram story, which has since been reposted by several fan accounts. The Yoo Group also expressed their gratitude with an Instagram post:
He isn’t the only Korean on the list; model and actor Nam Joo Hyuk is also featured. The actor initially debuted as a model for SONGZIO in 2013, before appearing in Akdong Musician’s music videos in 2014. He also had a supporting role in the drama The Idle Mermaid and Cheese in the Trap. Model Jang Sunghoon also makes an appearance, further highlighting how Korean pop culture is making a splash in Britain.
Dean has also worked with Zak Abel, who also features on Vogue’s list. The North-Londoner worked on the chorus of Dean’s latest single Love. The pair also posted a short cover of Bruno Mars’s 24K onto Instagram, and Dean covered Abel’s Say Sumthin. You can check out Vogue’s full list here!
