The 2018 Winter Olympics are currently underway in Pyeongchang, South Korea. The country is famous for its pop music, and this is something which was heavily featured in the opening ceremony!
Olympians entered the stadium as BTS’s “DNA (Remix)”, Psy’s “Gangnam Style”, Twice’s “Likey” blared from the speakers. K-Pop has been prominent in the promotion of the sports event, with there being a large concert a month prior to the start of the Olympic Games. Watch all of the artists perform together below!

Big Bang’s Taeyang is also a Honorary Ambassador for the Olympics and Paralympics, and released his latest single “Louder” for the event, which he sings and composes. It is produced by TEDDY, R. Tee, Joe Rhee. The song is about shouting louder for your national team, and the chorus has a particularly fighting spirit with the uplifting guitar riff.
The event is set to finish on 25th February 2018, and the closing ceremony is rumoured to see both CL and EXO perform. Will you be watching?
