Earlier in November, BTS released their movie “Burn the Stage” at a limited selection of cinemas across the UK and worldwide. The film is a continuation of their YouTube Red series of the same name. The film features interviews with the members, footage from their 2017 WINGS Tour and a peak into their lives as idols with behind-the-scenes footage.

The movie set records earlier in the month by becoming the highest-attended event-cinema production of all time. The previous record holder for this had been “One Direction: Where We Are”. As of November 23rd, “Burn the Stage” recorded 1.4 million admissions.

The film has been so popular globally that it was announced that it would get an encore run in many territories. The encore run began last weekend in the UK and has helped the film reach the number 6 position in the UK box office this week. So far in the UK the film has made £644,000 and has made $14 million worldwide.

The movie has been a huge success for BTS and sets a new benchmark for the industry as the first Kpop group to have a feature length film released in cinemas.

Have you seen “Burn the Stage” yet? Do you think any other artists will be releasing movies like this in the future?
