It seems that wherever you look these days, you’re more than likely to stumble upon something of Eric Nam’s. The 30-year-old, who recently began hosting a weekly podcast – K-Pop Daebak – is now set to expand further with his first all-English release, coming November 14th.

Titled Before We Begin, it marks the artist’s next step in venturing into the global English-speaking market, on the back of successfully touring around the world over the last 24 months.

And the pre-release track, “Love Die Young,” got things started magnificently. A slow, pop-tinged ballad, it’s a song that showcases the smooth vocals of Eric Nam over a subtle, warm melody through raw, vulnerable lyrics. Complete with a catchy chorus that boasts layered vocals and underlying rhythm guitar, it’s a well-structured, authentic pop offering that comes across as a natural choice for the first single to accompany the versatile artist’s expansion.

Undeniably a fascinating and ambitious career move from Eric Nam, it will be interesting to see how everything plays out. We here at UnitedKpop wish him the best of luck.
