Just a few days after making history by becoming the first-ever group to headline Coachella, BlackPink would make history, becoming the first-ever female K-pop act nominated for a major award at the BRIT awards.

Considered to be one of the biggest UK award ceremonies, the BRIT Awards prides itself on celebrating and awarding some of the year’s most successful artists and promoting new talent. With BlackPink becoming the latest successful artist to be nominated for an award.

The nomination comes after a successful year which saw the girls release the album ‘Born Pink.’ Becoming the first-ever female K-pop act nominated for the International Group of the Year. Alongside Drake and 21 Savage, First Aid Kit, Fontaines D.C. and Gabriels.

The BRITs can be watched live on February 11 on ITV and anytime on ITV X or on the BRITs official YouTube page, which will feature each artist’s performances from the night and award announcements.
