Black Lives Matter is an international human rights movement, originating in the African-American community, that campaigns against violence and systemic racism towards black people.
On May 25, 2020, George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, died in Minneapolis, Minnesota, after Derek Chauvin, a white police officer, knelt on his neck for almost nine minutes while he was handcuffed face down in the street. This, rightly, ignited a wave of protests across the US, and subsequently the world, in support of Black Lives Matter.
This, and other archives we create, will be ever-growing. We also acknowledge the importance of our audience as part of our community, and you too can contribute to this archive and the education of our team and the greater community at the bottom of this page.
