Welcome to the final week of August in our weekly K-pop Chart, bringing you the Top 40 songs in the UK.
This week the girls of kpop are reigning over the charts with three new releases taking the top spots. SPICA are shining as bright as their astronomical name sake on the #1 spot with Tonight, knocking BEAST’s Shadow back down to #4.
BEAST, and member Yang Yoseob have numerous entries in this week’s chart, so maybe they’ll excuse the knock from the top three from these ladies!
Speaking of SPICA, their mentor Lee Hyori enters the chart this week. This Queen of Kpop charts an amazing three times with tracks from her recent Monochrome album.
Former Wonder Girls’ member Sunmi has rocketed into the chart at #2 with her debut release 24 Hours. The Crayon Pop girls, who were featured on UK television recently lose their hold in the top 10, dropping 6 spots #14.
In the first week of the chart we saw Kim Jae Joong sitting at the #40 spot with his track Mine. This week he re-enters at number #17 with that same track, but with it brings along a number of other tracks from the album.
UK ST★RLIGHT will be pleased to hear VIXX are still climbing through the charts with Hyde, up twelve places this week to number 15. The group have announced a global showcase and fans are hoping that Europe or London more specifically, will be one of their destinations!
This week sees some more movement from 4Minute, as Is It Poppin’ crept further up the charts and has come in at #5. On a similar note, Hyuna’s Ice Cream has re-entered the chart, straight in at #6, booting out another one of her own tracks, Bubble Pop, which held the same spot last week.
Girl’s Generation have made it into the top 10 this week, as Flower Power re-entered the charts at #8, while their track Beep Beep is at #12.
Last week saw 2NE1 holding two places in the Top 40, with Do You Love Me sitting at #5, but this week both 2NE1‘s Do You Love Me and Falling In Love have dropped out of the charts.
ZE:A have dropped a pretty dramatic 17 places down from #3 into #20 this week with The Ghost Of Wind. MBLAQ’s No Love and BIGSTAR’s Run&Run have had similar experiences, each dropping 15 and 18 places respectively.
Miss A made it into the top 10 this week as I Don’t Need A Man rose by three places into #10. 2PM is hot on their heels as they have come in at #12 with A.D.T.O.Y. after rising 7 places from last week. 2PM have also claimed #21 this week, as Comeback When You Hear This Song has re-entered the charts.
So without further ado, the UKP K-pop Top 40 songs…
