For this week’s Fan Talent, we’re looking at Jason Ray! He’s a singer, songwriter, producer and musician from Houston, US! He regularly updates his YouTube channel with covers of K-pop artists and has worked consistently hard to gain 94, 227 subscribers and attracted over 9 million views from his videos!

He kicked off his YouTube career in 2010 with a cover of Jason Derulo’s song ‘In My Head’, then as his interest in K-pop grew he posted his own musical take on KARA – ‘Step’ which you can check out below!

Since then, he expanded his collection of K-pop cover videos and evidently isn’t afraid to experiment with covers from Super Junior, EXO, Troublemaker, Big Bang’s G-Dragon and Taeyang, GOT7 and the list goes on! I would personally recommend listening to his video of Spica’s track ‘You Don’t Love Me’, I feel it really highlights his impressive vocal capabilities. The unique thing about Jason is that he takes a song from the Korean pop world and puts his own personal touch to it, from watching a range of his videos he can easily sift through different musical styles which makes him a diverse artist.

Fun fact: Jason Ray was recently also named one of the 9 amazing English covers of K-Pop songs from Drama Fever, his cover of AKMU’s 200%! Check it out below.
