It has been anything but a quiet week in Kpop with scandals galore.
- IU is still plagued by plenty of controversy, but with her agency’s support she’s taking matters into her own hands. IU and Loen Tree have filed 82 charges against netizens for malicious comments, false rumours, and the creation of damaging photoshopped images of the solo artist.
- Korean police are working to uncover those behind a drug ring that has links in the Kpop Industry. According to Asia News Communication the police are close to cracking the case open and uncovering those who have been selling and abusing drugs such as cocaine, methamphetamine and propofol.
Police stated:
“Until October our focus was on the dealers and smugglers but now we are going to steer our focus on the drug abusers. We plan on heavily investigate those who are in frequent contact with international students or are frequently out of the country. Drugs are quickly spreading in Gangnam, Hongdae and Itaewon clubs. “
The list of suspects is said to include a famous idol group rapper, a CEO/rapper who appeared on a rap battle program, and a rapper who took part in the third season a rap battle program.
Many have speculated on the identities of the suspects, and though some of the descriptions narrow down the list of names we believe in ‘innocent until proven guilty’. - VAV recently debuted with their EP Under The Moonlight, and it wasn’t long until a Pann thread was accusing them of copying VIXX.
The post titled “The group who is imitating VIXXㅋㅋㅋ;;;;;”, began “I’m so worried that groups like this are going to debut and media play by claiming that they’re the ‘second VIXX’ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ”.
We’ll let you decide.
