This week, we are looking at Tony Moly’s ‘Egg Pore Nose Pack’ which is designed to get rid of those pesky blackheads and impurities the can build up in the pores of your nose.

The reason for the egg concept lies in the products inclusion of egg whites in its ingredients. Readers who know a lot about the use of natural products in skincare will undoubtedly be familiar with the purported benefits of using egg whites. They are said to help tighten your pores up and reduce oil on the skin. Egg whites are also often used in hair masks for similar reasons including removing excess greasiness from the scalp.

Each strip comes in it’s own little, thin foil sachet. The user is instructed to wash their nose with a gentle cleanser, rinse and apply the strip whilst their nose is still wet. You then leave the strip on for about 10-15 minutes.

I have a quite large nose, so I was a bit worried that the strips would not fit all the way across when I first purchased the product. However, the strips are actually big and long, so you will struggle find a nose too large for these!

The strips are very flexible and sticky, so it sits well on your face, and you can go about your daily tasks comfortably without feeling like it will fall off your face as you move. Obviously, just try not to pull any silly facial expressions or scrunch up your nose with it on because it might cause it to peel away slightly. Once you have stuck the strip on firmly, I would recommend not fiddling with and poking it. I did this, and the stickiness started to come through the strip slightly onto my fingers. It’s not a big deal and washes off easily, but it is still not desirable!

Apologies for the blurry photo and the off-centre placement of the strip here!

Once the 15 minutes or so is up, you peel the strip very slowly off your nose from one side. The skin on my nose still felt ever so slightly sticky, so a quick rinse with warm water was needed.

OVERALL

After using the strip, the skin on my nose certainly felt tighter and cleaner. There was also a lot of evidence on the strip of the dirt and blockages it had removed. Fear not, I will not show you a photo of this, but it was a great indicator that the product had done its job!

I would not say this was a product you would use very regularly, but I do think it is something worth using every month or so to give the pores on your nose a nice clear out. They are not that cheap to buy, you can get about 3 strips for around £4, however, as they can function as a monthly skin treat, these strips can last quite a while.
