What a collection of releases the K-Pop world has for you this week!
The week started with boygroup BEAST releasing their second MV and their new full-length album ‘Highlight‘ This is the groups third full-length album and the first since the departure of Jang Hyun-seung. The group that really popped this week however is SEVENTEEN in a music video that really let’s fans see a different side to them other than the sweet boy next door, they also released a repacked album which has songs that are offering more of a taste of this new flavour. NCT127 debuted with their risque ‘Fire Truck’ along with an EP that’s definitely worth a listen. Teen Top has released a brand new MV that’s 6 years old! The MV was originally meant to be their debut song but circumstances changed and the song was never released but now, finally fans are able to watch it while celebrating Teen Top’s 6th year anniversary. The 6 confirmed members of PENTAGON (so far) as well as MONSTA X & INFINITE have also released new MV’s! (So much boyband goodness)
This week was also rocked by the one and only Wonder Girls in their new MV ‘Why So Lonely‘ They have also released two other songs as part of their single-album. New girl group C.I.V.A started as a fictional group in God of Music 2 and is made up of Produce 101 trainees but due to viewers demands they have debuted for real and the debut is so strong that many fans are saying it out-measured the debuts by fellow Produce 101 group’s I.O.I & Gugudan. Other releases include those by MATILDA & Switch.
And of course, We also have our releases by Solo Artists. Se7en released his new MV on the 7th day of the 7th month (Did you see what he did there) Joohee‘s new track will be sure to make you ‘Happy.‘ Indie Queen’s OOHYO & Morrie both have new music. Other must listens include those by SALTNPAPER, Juniel and one of my personal favourites, ‘Cuz I‘ by Moonshine.
