On Sunday June 4, Ariana Grande had organised a benefits concert to support those who were affected following the terror attack after her concert in Manchester on May 22. The singer was able to bring together her fellow artists to reinforce the message that love is stronger than hate, to promote solidarity even in times of pain and fear of the unknown.
The lineup who performed on the night included British bands Take That and Coldplay, soloist Robbie Williams, former One Direction member Niall Horan and Liam Gallagher from the band Oasis alongside Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber and the Black Eyed Peas. If you missed the performances or wanted to watch them again, here’s the link.
The concert went ahead despite the London attack that took place the night before, to further emphasise that we will not be defeated by fear. It was a beautiful, emotional evening with reportedly 50,000 people at the event which paid tribute to those affected by the attack a few weeks ago at Old Trafford cricket ground.
K-Pop Korner featured Love X Stereo and Annie Ko’s cover of Oasis’s song ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’, a fitting song for this occasion, you can listen to her cover here! CL, PSY, f(x)’s Amber and Afterschool Club’s host Kevin were also amongst those who shared their support for #OneLoveManchester!
