Its already the end of July and the weather in the UK has been really-hot. To end the last week of July, this week we have new releases from Jeong Sewoon, ASTRO and KARD. After such a long wait, we finally have a comeback from FTISLAND. Let’s check out this week’s releases!!!

Jeong Sewoon (정세운)- 20 Something

Jeong Sewoon has made his return. He is doing really well since Last year whilst he was on Produce 101 Season 2 reality show on Mnet. This track is good. It showcases his vocals. This track is called 20 something and represents his age and youthfulness. “20 Something” begins with minor sounds but becomes brighter throughout the song. The track is written by MeloMance Jung Dong Hwan. The lyrics was written by Jeong Sewoon and Brother Su.

ASTRO(아스트로)  –너잖아 (Always you)

It been nine months since there last comeback and they have comeback with a song unlike anything they have release before. Astro are known for upbeat songs, however, “Always You” sounds like a Chainsmokers Esque EDM feel. The track, I feel is missing the bright pop energy in their previous songs.  This song was co-composed by producers Duble Sidekick. The vocals are amazing, where its brings a ringing layered texture that plays against the jagged instrumental. It’s a good listen and its something different to what Astro has produced before.

KARD -Ride on the wind

KARD is an amazing group. Ride of on the wind incorporates EDM elements that gives the song a dance floor vibe, up-tempo drive. The song opens up with a auto-tuned J.Seph. From there, all the members start to join in. When its gets to the chorus, you can hear the layering of vocals which creates a texture that sparks energy. I feel this song is not as great compared to their previous releases and I was expecting more from this group.

FTISLAND – 여름밤의

FTISLAND has been in the Kpop Landscape for over ten years now. They have release so many songs during that time. This song includes the details of layers of synths with a laid back reggae beat, making it very catchy from the first appeal. Hongki’s vocals on this track is amazing, along with the construction of members Jaejin and Seunghyun, they have a chance to provide vocals within this song.

Simon Dominic – Me No Jay Park (Live)

Simon dominic has returned with a statement track “Me No Jay Park”. He comes from the Jay Park hip hop label AOMG. The song is raps about is how he feels as he can’t live up to the AOMG reputation. The first verse he compares himself to Jay Park and all the haters out their calling him a lazy guy. The song has a deep meaning for him, where can express his frustration of being a CEO. A few days later the song being release AOMG confirmed his resignation. He will remain with AOMG as an artist but will focus on his music instead.
