Red Velvet’s Wendy covered Pixie Lott on Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook.
The girls appeared on the August 23 episode of the show as part of their promotions for Umpah Umpah. In the episode, the girls performed the title track, as well as covers of other artists.
Describing the song as one that gives her strength, Wendy performed Pixie Lott’s Everybody Hurts Sometimes.
“The lyrics of this song talk about how everyone goes through a difficult time in their lives and how you can lean on someone during that time. It says that kind of moment can come at any time and it’s nothing bad. Anyone can get hurt and go through a difficult time. It’s a song that comforted me while I listened to it and sang it.”
