He is the champion and N.Flying’s Yoo Hwe Seung just proved it with a powerful win on Immortal Songs!
Featuring Bae Chul Soo as the legendary artist, the October 19 broadcast marked Yoo Hwe Seung’s first win on Immortal Songs.
The N.Flying member radiated confidence as he took his turn on stage after performances by senior artists. Belting out a cover of British band Queen’s “We are the Champions”, he impressed the judges and audience alike! He also received ample praise from senior artists after his performance.
He joins Son Seung Yeon who is the only other artists to have covered the song on Immortal songs. As well as this, it is said that Queen has had an influence in Kpop, with PSY saying his inspiration is Freddie Mercury. Furthermore, groups like SHINee, EXO, and BTS also takes inspiration from the band’s style and music.
His performance certainly left a strong impression, as Bae In Hyuk complimented, “I think he’s the best Korean singer to ever perform We are the Champions.”
Yoo Hwe Seung received 432 points in total and was ultimately crowned the winner of the episode!
