The love for “Parasite” continues in Britain!
On 2nd February, the annual BAFTAs were held at Royal Albert Hall. “Parasite” took home two awards:
-
Best Film Not in the English Language
-
Best Original Screenplay.
Director Bong Joon Ho was in attendance with actor Song Kang Ho.
Accepting his award for Best Original Screenplay, the director admitted he did not expect to win because the film “was written in a foreign language”.
It is the second Korean film to win Best Film Not in English. In 2018, Park Chan Wook’s “The Handmaiden” won this award.
