February 5th graced us with LOONA’s latest comeback, a year after their last repackage album!

So What, is the title track from their new mini album ‘#’. The new track really shows the groups girl crush qualities, as they all come together as a unit in the newest comeback.

The girls make bad look good! The track itself has that electronic sound that seems to be popular among Kpop tracks lately. for example, much like Itzy’s Dalla Dalla or Red Velvet’s Zimzalabim. The song is fun, hitting us with a rap from the start. The musicality is definitely one suited for dancing.

The bridge of the song is a nice change up to the rest of the track also. The change of pace keeps things interesting. It’s also nice to have their vocals come through on the track, even though it seems predominantly rap heavy. The track definitely mirrors the girl crush concept the group is trying to go for in the MV.

The message of the song itself is one that is empowering. The group sing about not letting the light burn out within yourself. The lyrics speak about being fiercer and following your heart no matter what.

Eh blow it away with firework Burn
Oh the look in your eyes became fierce (Hey!)
The shiniest star that is highest
Let me show you catching it
If you’ve been waiting endlessly
Follow me.

The song doesn’t only sound fierce but has an amazing message, that we should all listen to!
