It’s been a successful year for BTS, especially with their most recent win at the Melon Music Awards for winning their first Daesang award ‘Best Album of the Year’!
The popular male K-pop group have continued to break records with their latest album ‘Wings’ not only on a national scale but internationally too. Their album managed to reach number 62 on in the British charts!
However for the Big Hit Entertainment founder and producer Bang Shi Hyuk, he was pleasantly surprised to hear about BTS entering the UK charts. Which is an impressive feat for any K-pop artist. He expressed his wishes in an interview with Sports Chosun to thank BTS fans all over the world for all the achievements they have gotten so far.
In regards to the group’s recent success with “WINGS,” he commented, “The really unexpected result was making it on the UK chart. Their previous two albums made it onto Billboard’s chart, so we were somewhat expecting good results, but getting on the UK chart surpassed our expectations.”
