It might not be Sunday but today we’re here to bring you the Top 40 songs in the UK for the first week of September.
This certainly is G Dragon’s Coup D’etat as he smashes his way to #1 this week! Don’t forget to check out the Music Video Breakdown for one of his title tracks ‘Crooked‘ which the chart topping idol filmed in London.
The new entry at #1 moved the ladies of SPICA off the top but they didn’t go far, they’re sitting strong at #2. In the Tonight mv you’ll notice the Queen of Kpop Lee Hyori, as she is mentor to SPICA. You’ll also see Lee Hyori in our chart, and she’s made an incredible jump into the top ten, climbing 21 places with Miss Korea.
Crayon Pop have recovered from their chart fall with another climb, this time an impressive 10 places to #4! Another group the UK isn’t willing to release from the Top 10 quite yet is BEAST.
Kim Jae Joong still has three tracks in the Top 40, at #16, #32 and #37. We recently featured a review for a film in which he plays a famous Kpop singer, something he shouldn’t have had too much problem with, Codename: Jackal.
We’ve seen numerous re-entries this week. Rookies BTS / Bangtan Boys have managed to return with No More Dream, and have even brought We Are Bulletproof Part 2 along with it. How would you like to dress like the BTS members? Well if you do you’re in luck as we have a unisex edition Get The Look for their No More Dream mv.
Other groups we’ve featured in our Get The Look articles are: f(x) who have charted at #22 with their title track Rum Pum Pum Pum from their Pink Tape album; and Teen Top coming in at #34 with Rocking.
Henry’s Trap re-enters at #19, it might be a track with an SM formula mv but is there a little more to it that meets the eye? Check out our mv breakdown for Trap to find out.
Infinite are also back in the chart at #27 with Destiny. Have UK Inspirit that are patiently waiting for more details about their ‘One Great Step‘ stop in London been craving their latest release again?
So without further ado, the UKP K-pop Top 40 songs…

The chart is based on real numbers and solid facts, using a simple combination of complex formulae to find out the best of the best in the UK for K-Pop. Similar to the Korean charts, the UK K-Pop Chart uses sales numbers, votes from the fans and broadcast exposure, to calculate automatically without bias, the Top 40 K-Pop singles and albums in the UK.
If you’re curious about how the chart works there are some interesting facts over on our UKP Chart page, here you can find out how the chart is compiled and, if you’ve got your thinking cap on, there’s even some maths in there!
This weeks chart does not include votes, however we are working towards bringing this feature to the site as soon as we can so that you can have even more influence on the chart right here!
