The second week in September has seen big movement for G Dragon who held the #1 spot with Coup D’etat at the beginning of the month. His reign over the chart was short lived, with the track falling 18 places, though Crooked makes an appearance at #16. Crooked has given us plenty to talk about here at UnitedKpop, with a music video breakdown and even a special edition Get The Look that features both designer and high street fashion.
Taking over the top once again are SPICA with Tonight. The Top 10 is full of artists whom UK fans don’t want to see gone from the chart just yet, in fact, the whole Top 40 is!
In the Top 10 we still see BEAST, this week at #2, the group’s July release is still a firm favourite amongst UK B2UTIES. Crayon Pop’s popular hit Bba Bba Bba is still riding the wave of it’s viral popularity at #3. Sunmi stands strong at #6, and 4Minute climb into the #10 spot.
Fans are setting trends in the chart as most artists place multiples times. Kim Jae Joong has the most entries in the chart, with three songs from his Mine EP at #14, #31, and #39. Charting twice are: Henry; B.A.P; 2NE1; BTS; Lee Hyori and 2PM.
Seungri has been showing off his friendship with ManU footballer Kagawa Shinji this week and he’s finally makes his mark on the chart at #23 with Gotta Talk To U. Find out what we thought of his album when it released.
So without further ado, the UKP K-pop Top 40 songs…

The chart is based on real numbers and solid facts, using a simple combination of complex formulae to find out the best of the best in the UK for K-Pop. Similar to the Korean charts, the UK K-Pop Chart uses sales numbers, votes from the fans and broadcast exposure, to calculate automatically without bias, the Top 40 K-Pop singles and albums in the UK.
If you’re curious about how the chart works there are some interesting facts over on our UKP Chart page, here you can find out how the chart is compiled and, if you’ve got your thinking cap on, there’s even some maths in there!
This weeks chart does not include votes, however we are working towards bringing this feature to the site as soon as we can so that you can have even more influence on the chart right here!
