The global Korean Food Contest will be having their UK round this coming July. Do you have what it takes to make yummy Korean street food? Keep on reading for details on how to compete.

Your mission for this contest is to create a dish inspired by Korean street food and based on Korean sauces. Ingredients for your cooking will be served freely.

The UK round will take place on 5th July 2014 at Central Street Cookery School which is based in St Luke's Community Centre at 90 Central Street, London EC1V 8AJ. The finals will be held in Korea and 10 places for the UK round are available.

There are no restrictions on who can participate. You just have to be over 18 and of non-Korean descent. If you want to apply for a place in the UK round, fill in an application form which can be downloaded from Korean Cultural Centre UK‘s website here and once completed, email the document to info@kccuk.org.uk before the deadline of 19th June 2014, 17:00.

If you win the UK round you’ll be invited to participate in the competition final and the winner of the will win USD$10,000 and have their Korean recipe published in a book. Runner up prize will be a KOOCOO Korean Rice Cooker, 3rd/4th winner prize will be a gift card for a Korean restaurant and winners from 5th – 10th will win ingredients for Korean cooking. Not bad for foodies and passionate cooks.
