Welcome back to this week’s Film Friday, and today we’ll be taking a look at a film based on Shakespeare’s Taming Of The Shrew, Frivolous Wife.
This film follows Yeon Su, a rich and spoilt girl who likes having a good time. She loves being able to have any man she wants, but this changes when she falls in love with a very different man, Jeong Du. Jeong Du is from a very traditional family and is honour-bound to marry within the year.
We follow them as they fall in love with each other, and in order to be able to stay with Jeong Du, Yeon Su tries to become a proper lady, but things takes a shocking turn when family secrets threaten to ruin everything they’ve built together.
