Only a couple of months after it was aired in the US, Microsoft brings their advert featuring 2NE1‘s song to the UK and France!

The advert is for Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3, a tablet claiming to have the power to replace your laptop. It acts as both a tablet and a laptop with the ability to attach a keyboard for easier typing. K-pop fans have been excited to hear they’ve chosen 2NE1 – I Am The Best as the background music for their 30 second commercial.
It has been reported that since the commercial has been aired in the US, 2NE1’s song has been gaining vast amounts of popularity, climbing up the Billboard charts and even being played on some of the top radio stations. This is similar to labelmate PSY’s situation, who’s video gained so many views that his song Gangnam Style charted number 1 in various countries.
The advert has so far been spotted playing on Dave, Channel 4, and Channel 4+1 which is a popular channel amongst the British public for shows such as Come Dine With Me and Frasier.
The timing for this couldn’t be any better, with the recent news of CL preparing for her American debut with Scooter Braun, the man behind Ariana Grande, PSY and Justin Beiber.
