Welcome back to this week’s Fun Story! This week, we bring you to America where the Hollywood Music Awards just recently announced Super Junior as ‘Global Artist of the Year‘!
Just earlier this week, Super Junior was in the list of nominees for Global Artist of the Year for the Holly Wood Music awards, when they announced the group had won with a grand total of a whopping 3,808,920 votes!
The global artists known for leading the ‘Hallyu wave’ have done it once again, the boys being the only Asian artist to win an award from the Hollywood Music Awards. Super Junior was nominated against many global artist around the world such as Demi Lovato, Lorde, Fifth Harmony, Maite Perroni, Anitta and Dulce Maria.
The list of the winners for the awards show are listed below:
Global Artist: Super Junior
Best Fandom: Beliebers
Best Group: One Direction
Best Male: Justin Bieber
Best Female: Miley Cyrus
Best Fashion: Demi Lovato
Best Song: Thinking Out Loud – Ed Sheeran
Best Album: 5SOS – 5 Seconds Of Summer
Best New Artist: 5 Seconds Of Summer
Artist Of The Year: One Direction
The group have been acknowledged by many international media outlets having been known for competing in global artist awards previously with success of particularly following their albums Bonamana, Mr. Simple and Sexy, Free and Single.
One member particularly expressed his delight in receiving the award. Super Junior’s Yesung who is currently serving in the army, took it to Instagram to express his gratitude to ELFs saying:
