Welcome to Replay. Each month members of the UnitedKpop team will share their most replayed tracks of the month. Here are our picks for February.
Hong Jin Young: What About My Age? (Glorious Days OST) – No matter how popular K-Pop and hip-hop is with the kids, trot is the backbone of modern Korean popular music and a genre that many love but very few dislike regardless of age.
So at a time of lunar new year, when families come together, trot songs fill the airwaves. Elders in particular appreciate kids singing songs and melodies that they recognise.
This song is a playful one that hits all the marks by asking what age has got to do with feeling love for another person.
4Minute: Tickle Tickle Tickle – With the current concept 4Minute seem to be going in, this wasn’t the type of song I expected to hear from their recent album. However, that’s not a bad thing. It’s smooth, jazzy undertones coupled with their velvety vocals produces a addictive song. Another job well done 4Minute!

J-Yo: Garosu-gil – Maybe a little biased, I picked the pre-release to this track last month. It’s ten years since Eru debuted so he’s celebrating with an album. Garosu-gil features Lucky-J member J-Yo and, as expected from Eru, is an emotion filled, strong ballad track.
Unexpected for me, I’m also really enjoying the 4Minute release.
Kim Dong Wan: He Sunshine – Kim Dong Wan is part of Shinhwa, who just released a new album this week. While strong as a group, they also shine individually, and KDW is one of my favourite solo artists in kpop.
4Minute: Crazy – I’m not usually a 4Minute fan but I love the concept for their comeback. This song is super catchy and fun, and the girls all look super cool!
We’d love to hear what you think of our picks, and which tracks you’ve had on replay too.
