This Friday at 6PM the KCCUK will be showing a screening of Chung Chang-Hwa‘s 1961 movie “A Bonanza“, along with a Q&A after the screening with the director himself and Dr Mark Moris, co-founder and coordinator of the first Cambridge course for Asian and Eastern cinema.
“A Bonanza“, tells the story of a burly bear-like young sailor who blows into Busan toting a shotgun over one shoulder and a knapsack on the other, meanwhile a tough young woman and her friend rob a man. Events will conspire these three, and their shared histories, to meet and reconcile.
The screening will be shown at Regent Street Cinema. You can book tickets through their website, here.
This film is part of the London Korean Film Festival 2015 from their Classics Revisited strand. Check out the full schedule with Hangul Celluloid, here.
