As Dead Buttons kick of their European tour on April 15th they’ll also be releasing a single from their first full album, Some Kind of Youth, in the UK.
16-22 tells the story of someone from being sixteen and having no future, to being twenty-two and being a dreamer with nothing to lose. If you’re not acquainted with the music of Dead Buttons, this is the perfect introduction. Their distinctly stripped back garage sound is refreshing in a world of over produced digital music.
The 16-22 music video was filmed on the streets of Seoul as part of the Around the World in 80 Music Videos project, by filmmakers Leo Longo and Diana Boccara.
The duo kick of their tour at The Remedy at Tooting Tram Shed in a Baltic Records showcase alongside Tea Street Band, and Johnny Sands.
Tea Street Band will release their single Feel It on April 30th, followed by an album in the Autumn.
Johnny Sands releases his third single A Friend on April 22nd, and is working on his debut album.
Dead Buttons will continue to tour the UK and Europe (with stops including Preston, Manchester, Liverpool, Edinburgh and London) through to June 3rd at Barcelona’s Primavera Festival.

The single 16-22 can be pre-ordered on iTunes, though the full album is unfortunately still not available for UK download. Korean issue versions of the album can be found on sites such as YesAsia and KpopTown.
