The Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2016 is set to take place in the Scottish capital city from Friday 5th to Monday 29th August and it includes a huge amount of Korean performers in its line-up!

For the uninitiated, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival has been running since 1947. It is an annual festival that celebrates all that is creative and unusual. It provides a stage for performers of all kinds and is often a springboard for many amateur acts in that it can help them get their “big break”.

…the festival caters for everyone and includes theatre, comedy, dance, physical theatre, circus, cabaret, children’s shows, musicals, opera, music, spoken word, exhibitions and events.

The festival has a big reputation and attracts creative acts from all over the globe. This includes a whole host of acts hailing from Korea. You can check out the bios of some of the Korean acts below this article. Alternatively, click here for a PDF of the full EdFringe programme.

It is likely that there is something for everyone in the various Korean acts performing this year. From adaptations of Korean folktales, Brothers Grimm fairytales and Shakespeare all the way to beat-boxing cookery shows (yes, really) and Korean drumming!

You can book tickets for shows at the festival in various ways: online, over the phone or in person at the Fringe Box Office. Full details of each method can be found here.
