The Teen Top crooner made his solo debut in February 2015 but now Niel is back with his second single, “Love Affair“.
It has been over six years since he stepped out with Teen Top, but through collective and solo activities, the group has been growing from strength to strength, paving the way for TOP Media junior artists, 100% and UP10TION.
Known in Teen Top as the “Emotional Vocal”, Ahn Daniel was discovered by Andy Lee of legendary boy group, SHINHWA to debut as the main vocalist within the group. Between then and his ‘oNIELy’ debut, he had several solo opportunities through different collaborations both in commercial projects and special Gayo Daejun stages.
Aside from his repackaged single, his work as a solo artist take on several elements made famous by Michael Jackson, an artist who would inspire a young Niel to pursue a singing career. “Love Affair” follows up on this concept. Teaming up with Unpretty Rapstar alumni, Giant Pink; the single showcases his smooth vocals and slick dancing abilities that fanclub, Angel have grown to love throughout Teen Top’s discography
He has also followed in the footsteps of fellow members, L.Joe and Changjo, pursuing his own acting career. So far, he has only starred in a one-off drama special, “Do You Know Taekwondo?”, which you can watch in full and with English subtitles courtesy of KBS World TV on Youtube.
