Let’s begin with the most favoured rendition at the moment, “Shape of You”. The hit-song has made it’s way across Korea as a popular anthem amongst celebrities, buskers as well as one of the hottest tracks to be played in the streets of Korea and even in clubs!

GRAY, best known as a producer, singer and rapper of AOMG recently performed a rendition of Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” on the show, Yu Huiyeol’s Sketchbook. He attended the show with his fellow labelmates, Loco and ELO. You can check out the full clip of his performance alongside Loco’s street food fritters rap here!

Following GRAY’s performance, we also have a dance performance of ‘Shape of You’ which was created through the second season of Produce 101. For the concept evaluation, a number of trainees were made to create their own choreography to the selected song ‘Shape of You’. Check out their performance below:

Our next ‘Shape of You’ performer, is none other than our Korean-American artist, Sam Kim from Washington! He collaborated with Dingo Music this time to bring to us a rendition of Ed Sheeran’s song.

Finally, our last ‘Shape of You’ performance was done by the JYP band, DAY6! The group have been developing popularity in this past year through their monthly singles, and often make appearances on ‘Kiss The Radio’. They’ve done various English renditions on the show, including some Ed Sheeran classics.

Another classic performed by DAY6, was Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud. They also did a rendition of this song on ‘Kiss The Radio’ with many other groups and artists also making their own personal renditions of the song.

Moving on, many YG artists also took upon the opportunity to do a rendition of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’. One example includes BLACKPINK’s very own, Rose! She did a short cover of the song on ‘Young Street Radio’.

Following Rose, we also had AKMU do a live rendition of ‘Thinking Out Loud’. For this particular video, the focus is on AKMU’s Suhyun!

Previously, we mentioned Sam Kim’s rendition of ‘Shape of You’. Now, we’re back again to show you Sam Kim’s rendition of ‘Thinking of You’ which he performed on V Live!

We’ve also got Bae Soo-Jung who has done a number of OSTs for ‘Second To Last Love’, ‘Goodbye Mr. Black’ and more. She took the chance to perform ‘Thinking Out Loud’ on Radio Star!

Some of you may have heard about a newly debuted K-indie group called ‘The Rose’. Before they debuted, they were known to busk. They’ve performed Ed Sheeran songs whilst busking, but have also performed Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’ on Sound K!

For the attendees of the London Korean Festival this year, you may remember KNK performing a Ed Sheeran song at the Feel Korea concert. They performed ‘Thinking Out Loud’ live, but also did a cover of the song on Holzak Live! KNK’s maknae, Heejun plays the guitar as an accompaniment for their cover.

Last but not least, for our final ‘Thinking Out Loud’ cover, we’ve got Hoya’s personal rendition which he uploaded onto his channel. With the recent news of Hoya’s departure from INFINITE and Woolim Entertainment, he released this song late-August inserting the description with “Dear fans”.

Other than the most popular Ed Sheeran renditions: ‘Shape of You’ and ‘Thinking Out Loud’ there have been a couple of artists who have decided upon alternative Ed Sheeran songs. One example includes VIXX’s Hyuk, who decided to cover Ed Sheeran’s ‘Photograph’. Hyuk created this cover to commemorate his 23rd birthday (Korean age). He made a cover and dedicated it to his fans, Starlights! In this cover, he presents a number of photographs and videos conveying his childhood and growth.

And for our final Ed Sheeran cover, we have our very own British-Korean artist, Sam from LUNAFLY! He did a cover of Ed Sheeran’s ‘All of the Stars’ on Arirang’s Super K-Pop Radio!

Overall, it’s determined that Ed Sheeran is a beloved artist to many Korean celebrities, as they continue to commemorate their love for his music through various performances of his songs.
