Steve Aoki discussed recording with Monsta X with Metro.co.uk.
The DJ and producer worked on the song, ’Play It Cool’, which will feature in Monsta X’s upcoming album.
In the article, he calls the experience of recording as “the best thing in the world”. Monsta X, who became the first Kpop group to perform at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball, displayed an “amazing” vocal performance.
‘Play It Cool’ is a “shimmering, summery bop that’s quite unlike Monsta X”, but pulled off “with confidence”. Aoki states the song will dive “into someone’s soul”. This is nothing new for Monsta X. Steve Aoki is a known name in the Kpop industry, having worked with BTS since his remix of ‘Mic Drop’. In November, he expressed his wishes to work with Monsta X, after seeing their charm and production skill on social media. Now that his wish is fulfilled, Monbebes can’t contain their excitement!

’Play It Cool’ will be released as part of Monsta X’s album, ‘Take 2: We Are Here’, on Monday 18th February. Their title track for this comeback, however, is ‘Alligator’. You can buy the four versions of the album on Amazon.
