Sam Okyere is a Ghanan television personality who works in both South Korea and Ghana.
Okyere has appeared on several Korean shows, including JTBC’s Non-Summit. His mission to fight racism and increase awareness of African culture in South Korea.
As part of the Focus on Africa series, Okyere talked to the BBC about what it is like to be black in South Korea. He also discussed his view on the Euijeongbu High School students’ blackface incident. Okyere himself faced backlash for speaking out about the racist incident in the past.
