[Release Round Up] 25/04/2021 – 01/05/2021

April has drawn to an end and as May begins; the Summer Rush is finally gearing up with a long list of comebacks in the upcoming month. However, there is still a few singles in the past seven days that have made an impact to charts and playlists alike. As always, the Release Round Up have collected a full list of debuts, comebacks & drama soundtracks so you don’t miss out on the biggest songs of the week.

Here are some of the UKP Team’s favourites of the last seven days and a brief look into next week’s big releases.

This Week’s Top Picks

ENHYPEN was the one to watch last week and for their first group comeback, they did not disappoint. Channelling the high energy of a carnival, Drunk-Dazed is a fun pop-rock track which still gives a nod to the group’s dark fantasy aesthetic.

ITZY are ready to steal hearts with their latest single, Mafia In The Morning. Co-produced by J.Y. Park himself, the girls bring together their charisma, fashion and sound to create a film noir concept that perfectly follows up from the western style of Not Shy.

Next Week’s Ones to Watch

It has been a long two year wait, but after completing their mandatory military service, Highlight are finally back! Formerly part of past CUBE group, BEAST; the four members – Yoseob, Doojoon, Gikwang & Dongwoon are returning to the stage with the chill-EDM track, Not The End and their third mini-album, The Blowing.

In the past week, Kingdom: Legendary War unveiled its first studio single that featured the RE-BORN challenge. Now, all six groups have unveiled their performances and fans have begun supporting their favourites. At the time of writing, only SF9 & The Boyz have seen a studio single released but fans are expecting an official Part 2 and Part 3 of the challenge soon; which will feature Stray Kids’ “Pray (I’ll Be Your Man)“, BTOB’s “Back Door“, iKON’s “Inception” & ATEEZ’s “Rhythm Ta“.
