Covers are a great way for artists to show off their talents and put their personal twist on songs we already know and love. It seems that British artists are a popular choice for K-Pop artists, with past selections including One Direction and Jessie J.
Bangtan Boys (BTS) member V has now released his own version of Adele’s hit song ‘Someone Like You’!
As most reading this will probably already be aware, Adele is a British singer that began gaining mainstream attention in around 2008. She is known for her beautifully soulful voice and quite down-to-earth attitude. Her albums ’19’ and ’21’ both took the UK and the USA by storm, she has won a plethora of awards and even broken Guinness World Records with her success.
It is clear to see why BTS’ V has chosen one of Adele’s tracks to cover. He gives it a lot of emotion and depth, even despite the lyrics being in English!
